NoFunnel — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

NoFunnel is a browser extension (plus a small web account) that tells you whether a YouTube video delivers on its title, surfaces the real "payoff" timestamps, and warns you when a video is mostly a sales funnel. This policy explains exactly what data we process and why.

Your account

Using NoFunnel requires a free account so we can give you a fair number of free analyses and, optionally, a paid plan. You sign in with either an email magic-link or Google sign-in. We store:

Sign-in is kept active with a single signed cookie (nf_sess) — HttpOnly, Secure, no third-party tracking. Signing out on the website also signs out the extension.

What the extension sends for each analysis

When you analyze a YouTube watch page, NoFunnel sends to our server (nofunnel.mgsoft.sk): the video's public ID, its title, its transcript / captions (the same text YouTube already shows in its transcript panel), and your install ID. Our server passes the video text to Anthropic's Claude API, which generates the analysis. The result is returned to your browser and shown on the page.

Payments

Paid plans are handled by Stripe. When you upgrade, Stripe processes your payment and we store only your subscription status, Stripe customer ID and the email tied to the subscription. We never see or store your full card details — those go directly to Stripe.

Pricing currency

Prices on our website are shown in your local currency (EUR in Europe, otherwise USD). The currency is determined in your browser from your device's time zone — no location data or IP is sent to us for this. At checkout, Stripe may localize the currency based on your payment details.

What we do NOT do

Caching & retention

To avoid re-analyzing the same video repeatedly (and to keep costs down), the analysis result is cached on our server, keyed by the public video ID. This cache contains only the non-personal analysis of a public video. We keep your account data until you ask us to delete it (see Contact). Your IP address is used transiently and in-memory only to rate-limit abusive request volumes; it is not stored alongside analyses.

Third-party processors

Your rights

You can sign out at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing the address below. We'll remove your account, device link and usage records.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
